Fantasy Film Tips

Fantasy Film was a popular craft back in the 70's. I found an old craft book at a second hand store which had the "Dip It" craft. The product was taken off the market. But you can find it at "Clay Alley" to buy any colors you want. Here are some of my Dip It Fantasy Film creations. I started with clear film and then painted the pansy's with stain glass paints (Pebeo). This is a small decoration I love. There is a dragon fly that was made from Fantasy Film and then my flowers. I did make a Poiensetta flower arangement and put them into a crackled glass vase, it was stunning, my daughter fell in love with it and gave it to a close friend so I don't have a picture to share. But maybe before Dec. gets here I am going to order more and make it again. I am going to order the red and green film to save time. But I did find that the colored film is more difficult to dip, it seems a bit thin and I have to dip it a couple of times. If you use jewerly wire for your petal and leaf design be sure to shape it first and then dip it and leave a long enough stem on each piece of wire to be able to hold it when dipping and then stick it into a styrofoam base to dry. Then just twist the petals together and wrap the stem with floral tape or just leave the wire showing.
